We had a great Retreat!

Offer of Fire by Elena Ray

The energy of the universe comes at us, comes at us and we filter it. We create a meaning process around it. There’s a lot of blocked energy, collectively. It must be transformed if we are to evolve. We could say that when the primary energy of the universe meets consciousness, and when consciousness transmutes it, you have the evolutionary process.

The Weekend Retreat was so uplifting that we could really feel how each personal transformation makes a contribution to our collective well-being.

Participants kept thanking us and it was so humbling because their growth came from their own willingness, openness, receptivity, and intention. Each person released layer after layer of resistance and armor, and as each layer was let go, the bright joyous Spirit of that person was more and more present. Watching that transformation is so inspiring.

The Weekend is like a series of small incremental changes in how you feel and the way you look at things.  And the little changes start stacking up and accumulating and all the while you’re feeling lighter and happier and more relieved. And suddenly, before you know it, you feel different.  You feel better.  Life is suddenly more playful, more free, more forgiving, more hopeful, easier, more loving.

And it’s a very intimate experience – the process of releasing resistance is very intimate.  Because beneath that resistance is the authentic you.  When you share that with other people – and it’s safe – it makes a deep and lasting connection.

In one process we did, everyone identified their “anchor”, the thing holding them down.  What it looks like.  What emotions and memories it has.  Then we did breathwork, pulling in Life Energy and then relaxing and letting go.

The funny thing about breathwork is how your nose does all the work of transforming your thoughts and feelings.  Your job is just to be the Breather – not to get trapped and hold onto the thoughts or emotions – and then, at a certain point, you simply become the Breath.   And the thoughts and the feelings that were obstacles before find their own natural resolution.  It’s really kind of amazing.

And after the breathwork, we did a Fire meditation where each person said what they needed to say to feel complete and be willing to let go of that thing that’s been holding them back.  And then we burned the “anchors”.  We released all those restrictions over to the power of the flame, the Spirit of Fire.

All the Elements were working with our transformation this weekend – Root, Air, Fire, Water, Earth.

I have to admit, when the weekend was over, I had a momentary thought, “Oh no!  How do I take this back to the real world?”

And then I remembered – we are the real world.

Transformation Day

Heart of a Flower

The truly inspiring aspect of yesterday’s One Day Retreat was watching the transformation that people made.

When they arrived, they were holding onto stress and tension and, in the course of the day, they began to dissolve and release that resistance layer by layer.  Finding joy.

They also formed a kind of relationship that can only be described as community.

One of the participants said it this way: ” We were a bunch of strangers who got together and went through this process. And now it feels like we’ve been old friends for years.”

Thank you for doing this work!

Kai Chi Do One Day Retreat September 18th

by Susan Robinson on September 7, 2010

Can’t swing 3 days to come to the Kai Chi Do Weekend Retreat?  Say “thanks” to Tina for organizing a One Day Retreat on September 18th!  We’ll be making the magic together, with Root Meditation, Kai Chi Do, integrative breathwork, projective drawing, and Earth Meditation.

The purpose of Kai Chi Do is to have pure Life Energy flowing through you, unrestricted.

What does that feel like?

It feels like Life is breathing you, instead of the other way around.  It calms your mind, it uplifts your emotions, so that you feel lighter, more buoyant, so that your mind has access to new insights, new perspectives.  And it’s such a relief to give up struggle, and relax into the Source of who you are.

One of our clients recently called the experience “Magic, Guidance, and Love”.  That’s what you get when you make the connection with Source, Self, and Others.  We couldn’t have said it better.

What we do is to create the safe environment, give you tools, and guide you how to use them.  Then you take this as far as you are ready to go.

And it’s perfect.

Wanna join us on September 18th?

10am to 5pm at Sound Body Wholistic Health Center, located at 5530 – 1st Avenue North in St. Petersburg, Florida.   Contact us to register.

Kai Chi Do Weekend Retreat October 1st-3rd, 2010

by Susan Robinson on August 30, 2010

Ready to get yourself back on track?  Or take yourself to the next level?

We’re planning another fabulous Kai Chi Do Weekend Retreat.  The dates are October 1st-3rd, 2010 at La Veranda Bed and Breakfast in St. Petersburg, Florida (NEW LOCATION).

The Retreat follows the path of The Five Elements:  Root, Air, Fire, Water, and Earth.  The Retreat begins on Friday evening at 7pm with an Overview of the Weekend, and Root meditation.  Saturday’s sessions focus on The Air and Fire Elements, with Kai Chi Do, breathwork, Air meditation, and sunset Fire meditation.  Saturday also includes a discussion of The Four Agreements for committed relationships.  Many of you know that these have been the guiding principles for our own marriage, and The Four Agreements is also effective for aligning the connection that you have with your Self.  Sunday is dedicated to The Water and Earth Elements.  The schedule for the day includes Kai Chi Do, Water Meditation, wet supported breathwork in the hot tub, and discussion of The Principles for Mindful Living. Throughout it all, we have the magical feeling of community.

This Weekend Retreat is a great place to celebrate your successes and to resolve the obstacles that are holding you back.  It’s like getting a tune up for your mind and body. Get your energy flowing freely and regain your balance.  Invite friends and family, so that they can gain a better understanding of your perspective and experience the transformation for themselves.

And for those of you who are interested in becoming a Kai Chi Do instructor, the Kai Chi Do Weekend is the first step.
